A Nation of Cowards?

Eric Holder and Stedman Graham. Separated at birth?

So, we are a "nation of cowards?" I haven't heard a more overtly racist comment made quite so blatantly and at a more inappropriate venue since Kanye West told us all George Bush hates black people while standing next to a very uncomfortable-looking Mike Myers.

I mean, come on, this was the guy's introduction to his new employees at the Justice Department.

And what was his evidence that we're a nation of cowards? That "the workplace is largely integrated but Americans still self-segregate on the weekends and in their private lives." What does that even mean? Not enough black people go to NASCAR events? Not enough white people go to Rhianna concerts? It seems to me that black people have come so very fucking far that all he could think to complain about and use to admonish us was that backyard bbq's aren't integrated enough for his taste. So, what's the answer? Forced busing to integrated picnics? Why is it so hard to accept significant advances have been achieved in the arena of race relations in America? This man should be held accountable for his inflammatory and downright ignorant statements.
